You may know of the illustrious Karaoke bar called [Courtside](http://courtside.wix.com/karaoke). Check out their site, especially the Photoboot, tis not to be missed. This sad tale begins after a Company social  that invariably resulted in a Courtside migration. Instead of remaining glued with one of the many groups of coworkers that had taken root at tables I tipsily struck up a conversation with two fellow courtsidians at a neighboring high-top. In struggling to remember their names they graciously offered mnemonics: straight-up gay Mike and Karen from Maryland.

Mike kept badgering me about my work crush, which he presumed me to have, and assumed she was present. I gave them my personal cards with funky images that I had ordered back when I lived in Vienna, offering them the pick of what I had in my wallet.

We chatted, enjoying the fuzziness that comes from casually meeting people you don't know who happen to not be crazy. After a while they decided to call it a night and we parted, "Toss me an email, would be cool to see you guys around!"

And that was the last I ever heard from straight-up gay Mike and Karen from Maryland.
